East

This area is northeast of Colorado Springs and southeast of Academy & Union Boulevards. Most homes took shape in the 1960s and 1970s as Colorado Springs spread north. Older homes, some of which sit high on bluffs near Union and Austin Bluffs Parkway offer fantastic views of Pikes Peak and the majestic Front Range. The Old Farm and Homestead subdivisions were developed in the 1970s & 1980s – a perfect version of a suburban community. Many of the homes have a combo of city and Pikes Peak views. The Village Seven area combines 7 separate villages with meandering sidewalk trails connecting the Village subdivisions. Villa Loma and Old Farm homes are newer and more expensive. Prices vary from the mid $100s - $400s. Village Seven is due east of the Purple Mountain Majesty of Pikes Peak. Although 25 miles away from Pikes Peak unobstructed line of sight views and sunsets are inspirational. The unforgettable mountain which climbs to an altitude of 14,110 feet above sea level calls to onlookers to come see her. If you do here is a high altitude tip: You will find the top of Pikes Peak on average to be 30 degrees cooler than the city of Colorado Springs which is 6,035 feet above seal level. Be cautious of high altitude symptoms when you first arrive in Colorado Springs as dizziness may occur. Altitude Advantage: Body uses more calories and burns more fat.
